The North

The North have rapidly emerged as a serious contender in the UK guitar scene. After early backing from John Kennedy on Radio X, the Leeds outfit made a statement with their debut festival slot at Truck Festival. Their sound blends gritty guitar licks, snarling vocals and a tightly controlled rhythm section, reframing post-punk urgency into melody-led indie rock.

“She” channels the sharp dynamism of early Bloc Party, while “Soundtrack Your Soul” lands as a festival-ready anthem. Polished yet punchy, The North balance clarity, hooks and live intensity with convincing momentum.
